The short version

StockLevels.io has no accounts, no sign-up, and no forms that ask for personal information. We don’t sell personal information. The only things collected are the ticker symbols you look up and standard website usage data, described below.

What we collect

  • Ticker symbols you search. When you look up a stock, the ticker is used to retrieve and display its market data. It is not tied to your name or any account.
  • Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed (which includes the ticker in the page address), approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard request details, such as IP address, browser, and pages requested, for security and operation of the service.

Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers to recognize returning browsers and measure usage. StockLevels.io itself does not set any other cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Third parties that see some information

  • Google Analytics receives the usage data described above. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
  • Google Fonts serves the typeface used on this site, so your browser requests the font files directly from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
  • Twelve Data is our market-data provider. Our server sends it the ticker symbols you look up. Your IP address is not sent. See its privacy policy.
  • Our hosting provider processes requests to the site and keeps server logs as described above.

How information is used

To show you the data you asked for, to understand which features and tickers are popular, to keep the site secure and working, and to improve it. We don’t use your information for advertising and we don’t sell it.

Market data we store

To reduce load and cost, the site temporarily stores market price data for tickers that have been looked up. This is public market data and contains no personal information.

Retention

Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider under its own policies.

Children

StockLevels.io is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. Because we don’t keep account or contact details, most analytics data is held by Google and can be managed through the opt-out add-on above or your Google account controls.

International processing

The services above may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data-protection rules from where you live.
